Job Description

Mechanical Assembler IIAcutronic is looking for a Mechanical Assembler II who is responsible for assembling mechanical components and parts into a finished product by following detailed instructions, blueprints, and specifications, using a variety of hand tools and power tools, while ensuring quality control and proper fit throughout the assembly process.Your Roles/Responsibilities:Prepare work to be accomplished by studying prints, reviewing parts lists and gathering parts, tools and necessary materialsAssemble and test complex mechanical subassemblies and systems involving many parts; care, alignment, and precision tolerance of parts is criticalEvaluate the alignments of axes in relation to each other: verify the orthogonality and angular displacement measurements through use of autocollimators, mirror assemblies, electronic indicators, or alignment telescopesFit and size parts using lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and various machine shop toolsClean and prepare parts for finish, inspect incoming parts for defectsAssist in the packing and shipping of equipment to customersPerform field service functions on equipment, both domestically and internationallyMaintain a safe, orderly and clean work areaPerform maintenance on machines and equipmentMeet budget and schedule requirementsYour Profile/Qualifications/Skills:High school diploma or equivalentTechnical School or Machining Apprenticeship is desirableAt least two years of mechanical experience is required, three years of experience preferredWilling to learn and grow skillsetStrong mechanical aptitudePositive and team-focused demeanorAbility to travel to perform installations of equipment and service calls; 10%-15% domestically; occasional international travel may be necessaryWe Offer:Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance401k matchCompany-paid holidays and Paid Time Off9/80 or a 4/10 flex schedule optionAbout Acutronic:The Acutronic Group has a proud history of building technologies and teams that are crucial to the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries.
